Hello

My name is Jennifer Urich MS, OTR/L  and I am the owner of East Valley Feeding Therapy. I am a mother of three grown children and two spoiled pups.  Originally from Oregon I have been in Arizona for over 20 years and raised my children here. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona State University and later pursued my master's in occupational therapy from A.T. Still University.  I have worked with children in some capacity for over 30 years. I have specialized in feeding as an occupational therapist and worked on multidisciplinary teams at Phoenix Children's Hospital for over 10 years. I  have developed feeding groups and various feeding programs at clinics and treated privately in home. 

My Approach to Feeding

 No two children experience feeding difficulties in the same way. Feeding challenges are complex and multifaceted, whether a child is receiving enteral nutrition through a feeding tube, requiring formula supplementation, or struggling with severely selective eating. I believe in a holistic approach that considers not only the child but also the entire family system and their unique perspective on feeding.School-age children may also face challenges that extend beyond the home, requiring additional support in social and educational settings. My goal is to help families navigate the many aspects of feeding, providing compassionate guidance and effective strategies that promote progress and confidence.At East Valley Feeding Therapy, I use a child-led approach that respects each child’s individual pace and comfort level. Through natural tools, play-based strategies, and responsive feeding techniques, I aim to create a positive, stress-free mealtime environment that encourages lifelong healthy eating habits.Every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy food, feel confident in their abilities, and thrive at mealtimes. I am here to support your family on that journey.
